How Jordanna and Scott Planned a Private Wedding on Their Family Farm

As an Ontario wedding photographer, it’s always super special when clients truly connect to my art. Jordanna initially reached out to me on Instagram after seeing some photos I posted of some relatives. She mentioned that she had been following me for a while and that she loved my work! Even though she wasn’t engaged yet, she told me that she was already dead set on me photographing her and Scott’s wedding.

Not too long after she messaged me, I received an inquiry; Jordanna and Scott were engaged! The couple chose Scott’s family farm as the location for both their engagement shoot and their wedding. The farm is such a huge part of their life so it was really meaningful to have photos there. Their engagement session was so cozy and romantic and it got me so excited for their wedding!

Jordanna and Scott’s Private Farm Wedding

Jordanna and Scott’s farm wedding was so beautiful! The couple held an outdoor wedding ceremony surrounded by corn fields. Before the end of the wedding ceremony, the couple had a tree planting ceremony. They took soil from each of their family farms and planted and watered a tree that they were going to put in their own home. I loved the meaning behind this tradition as it was a true representation of who they are as a couple.

Afterward, we took the couple and wedding party portraits all around the farm. Scott’s dad, who was unable to attend the wedding due to health issues, had a beautiful muscle car that we used for photos. We had the car out all day and made sure to get some amazing wedding party and couple portraits with it. While not having his dad there made for an extra emotional day, especially for Scott, I made sure to get some photos of him with the car and it was super special.

I absolutely loved this private farm wedding! Everyone present seemed to be insanely happy and supportive of these two, and they all had so many amazing things to say about the happy couple. While this tends to be true for almost all the couples I photograph, for these two I just felt an even more immense love surrounding them and it was so beautiful to witness.
