Taylor and Taylor’s backyard wedding included so many gorgeous details and was filled with love and emotion. The couple planned an intimate wedding ceremony followed by an outdoor reception, all in their parent’s backyard! Keep reading to learn more about their beautiful day!
It’s not often I get to photograph a wedding where the bride and groom share the same name! The two Taylors decided to plan a fall backyard wedding at the groom’s parents’ house in Tavistock, Ontario. Their vision included lots of soft pinks and muted tones with romantic, vintage decorations that complemented the space and the time of year perfectly!
One important decision couples are often faced with is whether or not to do a first look. First looks can be a very special and intimate moment for the couple but some couples prefer to save that moment for the wedding ceremony. Taylor and Taylor chose not to do a first look and wait for the big reveal when bride Taylor walked down the aisle. Taylor was super emotional when he saw her and it was such a beautiful moment to witness. I don’t think there was a dry eye present!
The couple kept their ceremony very small and intimate, inviting only close friends and family. Having fewer guests allowed them to be more emotional, especially with their vows. They wrote and exchanged very personal wedding vows touching on how much support each has given the other through the hard times in life.
After the ceremony, the couple, along with their wedding party, drove down the road to a friend’s farm for couples portraits and wedding party photos. After we finished taking photos, we returned to the house for their backyard wedding reception. The couple had invited some more friends to join them for the reception and celebrate making it quite the party!
The reception space looked gorgeous! All the details had been carefully curated by the bride and the whole vibe of the property flowed with the day. Even the inside of the house fit their vibes as well.
It was evident throughout the whole day that family and friends are very important to both Taylors. You could truly feel how loving and supportive everyone is of them which isn’t hard to do. These two are just the type of people that everyone admires. They complement each other so well and they have that cute sickening kind of love that makes everyone say, “stop being so cute, guys.”
This romantic backyard wedding was such a special day to be a part of and shows that just because you aren’t using a traditional venue, doesn’t mean that your day has to lack detail or beauty. The two Taylors included all the details that were important to them. They surrounded themselves with love and that made for the most epic wedding day!
